Pune: A 23-year-old young man intercepted a thief stealing valuables from his flat in Khadakmal Ali in Ghorpade Peth, off Shivaji Road, on Thursday afternoon even though the latter fired two bullets and biting in his hand to escape.
The brave heart, Awaiz Salim Ansari (23), suffered injuries in his hand after the thief, Vithal Waman Bhole (47), biting it.
When he shouted for help, the occupants of the area ran towards his help, beat the thief and called the police.
Bhole, has its roots at Jalgaon, currently living in rented accommodation in Hingnemala in Hadapsar.
Senior Inspector of Shrihari Patil from Police Khadak said, “Bhole was punished in a murder case registered in Bhusawal and served his term of office in Nasik Prison.
