Coimbatore: Southern Railway on Saturday announced plans to continue the train service to Puni and Pollachi through the Podanur-Kinathukadavu-Pollachi section and other trains from Palakkad to Polachi within a few days.
Rail users have demanded the train authority to continue this train operation, which was stopped after the Covid-19 outbreak, since the government began to calm down the locking limit.
While the coimbatore-palani-coimbatore daily train will be operated as a special specialty.
The train ranging from Wednesday, the coimbatore-pollachi-coimbatore train will continue the operation from next Saturday.
The Polachi train will be operated for only six days a week, because there will be no service on Sundays.
The train to the Pantani will start from Coimbatore Junction at 14:00 on Wednesday and reach the final destination at 14:40 with seven cessation, including those in Podanur, Kinathukadavu and Pollachi.
The train will then start from Palani at 11:15 a.m.
the next day and reach Coimbatore at 2pm.
Quietly, the train to the pollachi will start from the city intersection at 6.45 PM on Saturday and achieve the final destination in Podanur and Kinathukadavu.
The train will start the journey back the next day at 7:45 a.m.
and reach the city at 8:40 a.m.
The Palakkad-Palakkad train will, meanwhile, continue the service from next Sunday.
It will start from Palakkad at 4.55 pm and reach the pollachi at 6:30 a.m.
The train they will leave Polachi at 8:30 a.m.
and reach Palackad at 10:30 a.m.
