New Delhi: Opposition parties on Friday joined demanding strong penalties against those identified as giving hatred speeches in ‘Dharam Sansad’ in Haridwar this week.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi used the context of hatred speech to reaffirm that Hindutva was identical to spreading hatred.
In a tweet in Hindi, Gandhi said all religions paid prices for violence which were propagated by ‘HindutvavaVadis’.
His sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also supports the action against “Hatemongers”.
TMC spokesman Saket Gokhle submitted a representation to the election election commission on Friday to demand the transfer of all police officers, from SP-Hardwar to the IGP-Garhwal, if the speaker and organizer of “Haridwar Hate Hate Assembly” were not arrested by the date of the assembly selection notice.
