Bathinda: The courage and determination of Harbans Singh hopefully 100 years, pulling onion cart and potatoes to ensure the reserves of his orphans getting education, well recognized when the Punjab government comes to save a disadvantaged family.
The Chairman of the Punjab Minister of Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday announced the financial assistance of Rs 5 Lakh for Harbans Singh and for his grandchildren’s education.
Toi on Friday has highlighted the fate of Centenarian, which has migrated from Pakistan at this time during the partition in 1947.
Placing behind old age, Harbans Singh has sold vegetables over the past four decades in the city of Moga Punjab.
His son had died almost two years ago and his son-in-law had left his children.
In such circumstances, Harbans Singh took care of children.
Even though he has another lived son, who despite sharing a house with him, has placed a partition and both of them are said not to be too aligned with each other.
Knowing about financial assistance by the state government, Harbans Singh was happy for the signal.
Speaking to Toi from the telephone Manga Singh is alienated, he said, “With this my grandchildren can get better life and education.” Manga Singh is also happy.
As soon as the fate was highlighted in Toi on Friday, officials from the Moga District Government approached Harbans Singh to find out about his tribulation.
He was taken to the office of the deputy commissioner where DC Sandeep Hans climbed it.

Hans said, Wwhen I met Harbans Singh, I saw him having a satisfied man without request and was just worried about grandchildren’s education.
