Ludhiana: In one of the largest anti-avoidance operations on the highway by the State GST department (SGST), about 78 trucks of goods found without the right bills and documents have been confiscated.
The action is being carried out on several roads near Khanna, Gobindarh bath, Amlh etc.
Some truck drivers and staff escape from that place after a large-scale attack was carried out by the tax department.
The heavy police and several SGST teams led by the Investigation Director of HPS Ghotra are executing all operations in which the department is expected to get a large number of taxes and a fine of several crores.
The source claimed that the majority of these trucks entered punjab from various states and loaded with memos which were very popular in Ludhiana, showering gobindarh and other cities in Punjab.
The action by SGST is still alive until the news archiving and expected the number of trucks seized may increase until Tuesday.
