Ludhiana: Ludhiana District Administration on Friday launched a plantation drive where 4.25 lakh puppies will be planted.
Starting in the long months ‘van mahotsav’ near Tiger Safari, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma said that the forestry department had moved the wheel for this ambitious encouragement.
Sharma said these tillers would be planted in Pancayati land, strips around the village pool, on the side of the road, educational institutions, health care centers and others to increase green cover.
