Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday promises 300 free electricity units – 100 units more than what the government gives to every family in Delhi – to all domestic consumers in Punjab, win the election of the next assembly.
He also promises the neglect of electricity bills and power supply without interruption.
“This is a guarantee of Kejriwal, and not a promise of the captain (Punjab CM Amarinder Singh),” he said at a press conference here.
However, AAP then clarified that his promise would not apply to the general category of people who consumed more than 300 units a month.
In such cases, all units will be charged.
Other benefits such as SCS, BCS, BPL families and freedom fighters will be released from this rule and have to pay only for units that exceed 300.
Minister of Punjab Chararjit Singh Channi accuses the core to steal free strength, which previously said was delivered by the high command party to Amarinder as part of the 18 points of the public welfare initiative which will be launched before the next assembly poll.
