Chandigarh: In an important step that came ahead of the assembly election, the Chararjit Singh Channi government in Punjab has decided to make a commission for the general category well-being.
The announcement was made by Charanjit Singh Chanhi’s own minister.
“The Cabinet was approved to establish a Punjab State General Category Commission for non-exhibition classes.
This commission will protect the interests of the classes without exhibitions in addition to the effective implementation of various welfare schemes #LokaAndarkar,” Minister of Chief Tweeted.
Significantly, the decision had occurred during Channi, the first Minister of Punjab Punjab, was in a helmet.
Punjab has the biggest population in the percentage of Dalit provisions in this country.
Dalit contributed more than 30 percent of the population and the same large part of the general category.
The decision to establish a public commission was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Channi in Punjab Bhawan.
According to the spokesman for the office of the minister’s chairman, quoted by Ani, this commission will go far to maintain the interests of selfless classes in addition to the effective implementation of various welfare schemes for the benefit possessed by the poor in the category.
In particular, this decision has been taken by the cabinet after accessing the request of old employees included in the general category (the class raises) that their interest is not protected and has asked the state government to form the General Category Commission on the pattern from Gujarat, in Punjab too.
