Punjab CM Chararjit Singh Channi Hands Out Portfolio, Keeping 14 Degts with Himself

Chandigarh: Punjab CM Chararjit Singh Channi in his first portfolio allocation on Tuesday save 14 departments with him – including the main responsibility of alertness, strength and mining.
The allocation, which was said by the sources of Congress was examined by Rahul Gandhi, saw seven new faces in the disappeared cabinet given the charges of the main department.
In the midst of a continuous demand by the MLAS and AAP party to cancel the one-sided power purchase agreement signed by the first SAD-BJP government, Channi’s decision to oversee the electricity department itself is seen as a decisive step.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Mining and Geology was also full of allegations of the Congress government which gave a free hand to the mining mafia in the past four and a half years.
Deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa received a home portfolio after his strict criticism of the former CM Amarinder Singh (who had managed the department in front of him) for his handling of the cases of struggling and police in October 2015 opening fire on Kotkapura and Behbal.
Besides the house, Randhawa maintained allegations of cooperation and prison.
Om Parkash Soni, another CM representative, will oversee the health and family welfare department aside from the welfare of defense services and freedom fighters.
Among the new Indukeen, Randeep Singh Nabha, which is dramatically included in the short hours before oath on Sunday, gets agriculture, the welfare of farmers and food processing.
Manpreet Singh Badal, which is considered close to Channi, maintains the finance, planning and implementation of the program.
Most of the eight Amarinder cabinet ministers, besides CM and deputies, will continue to manage their old department.
