Dinanagar: Chairman of the Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi on Sunday launched the ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ scheme to give ownership rights to people living in homes in the village and city of ‘Lal Lakir’.
‘Lal lakir’ refers to the soil which is part of the village residence and is only used for agricultural purposes.
Overcoming the meeting during the state-level function held here, the main minister, accompanied by Deputy Chairperson of the Minister of Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Aruna Chaudhary’s revenue minister, imagined that this scheme would provide a lot of assistance to everyone, especially those who needed and lacked in layers.
He said that the beginning of this scheme was launched only for villagers but is now being extended to residents who qualify in cities in the ‘Lal Lakir’.
Channi said that the income department had been mandated to conduct a survey of drones for the properties of these housing both in rural and urban areas for digital mapping.
The minister’s chairman said that then all citizens who qualified after the right identification or verification would be given a property card (Sanads) to provide ownership rights to them in a time bound.
He said that before this, the beneficiaries will be given 15 days to submit their objections and incase no answers received from them, the property card will be issued which will serve the registry purpose where they can use loans from banks or even sell their property, thus increasing the monetary value.
Channi also mentioned that people living in homes in the old area (Mohallas) have long been borne in the scheme, according to an official statement.
The minister’s chairman said that another scheme of ‘Basera’ provided assistance to people living in slums outside ‘Lal Lakir’ by giving their ownership rights.
He said that by Diwali, the state government will ensure the right of ownership of the people under this scheme.
Channi said this pro-person initiative aims to provide assistance to people.
