Chandigarh: Punjab cm Amarinder Singh Mexed Food and even serves it to Olympians from the country, and some others, including the Gold Medal of the Neeraj Chopra, in his farmhouse in Mohali on Wednesday.
“I started at 11 o’clock in the morning.
Most are done at 5 pm, and then it’s time for some of the last touches.
But I love every minute,” he said.
“Those (sportsmen) work very hard to win our glory.
What I have done for them is not something compared to,” he said, seeing his usual self-dapper self when he greeted the guests personally.
Neeraj Chopra also feels the cooking that serves its guests personally, saying, “The food always feels better if served directly from the cooking ship.” The menu includes Mutton Khara Pishori, Chicken Laung Ellachi, Aaloo Korma, Dal Masri, Murg Korma, Dugani Biryani and Zarda Rice (sweet dishes).
Hockey captain Manpreet Singh, a DSP in Punjab police, said he had heard of captain’s cooking skills, but the food exceeded his expectations.
Discuss Thrower Kamalpreet said he was impressed with food and hospitality.
“It’s rich (quite ghee), but it’s very good,” Chopra said.
Brother Malwinder Singh made other special guests including Hockey Players Manpreet Singh (captain), Harmanpreet Singh (Deputy Captain), Mandeep Singh, Hardik Singh, Shamsher Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Varun Kumar and Simranjit Singh.
CM has announced each of Rs 2.51 Crore for them.
Semi-finalist Hockey Gurjit Women and Reena Khokhar, Hockey Player Krishan Bahadur Pathak and Athlete Olympics Kamalpreet Kaur, also among the guests, has been awarded Rs 50 Lakh.
Each cm has announced the RS 21 Lakh for participants of the Olympiad-Walker Gurpreet Singh and Shooter Angadveer Singh Bajwa, who are also invited to have dinner.
The promise of CM to Kamalpeet’s faith in honor of the sportsman on August 13, Amarinder said, pointing to Kamalpreet Kaur, that the sports minister told him that he liked good food.
“I will invite you and your family and treat you good food,” said the minister’s head, added that he would invite all the players present and will cook food for them.
