Chandigarh: Minister Punjab Chararjit Singh Channi on Monday asked the cabinet ministers to keep their security personnel at the barest minimum in accordance with the guidelines because he had limited his own security to curb VIP culture.
While leading a first-dissolved cabinet meeting, Channi said this initiative would not only play a role in the spread of extra security personnel wisely but also saved the general public from unnecessary discomfort.
To provide easy access to selected representatives such as Sarpanch, a member of the City Council and others, the Council of Ministers decided to issue an entry card from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner or HR in question and they (the cardholder) will be allowed to be free to enter the State Government Office and Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh.
The minister’s chairman also requested the Administrative Secretary and Head of various departments to prepare an action plan to implement their welfare development and schemes in a bound and holistic time in a comprehensive roadmap.
To ensure clean, transparent and fair administration to people, the minister’s chairman asked the ministers to do the best of their ability to give trust in the state government.
Now the ministers must work overtime to come to the expectations of the people, given the fact that almost four months remaining for the next assembly poll, Channi said.
The minister’s chairman was also placed at a profound appreciation record to the former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and his colleagues for the implementation of pro-people initiatives and overall development of work in the state.
