Ludhiana: The couple allegedly kidnapped a four-month-old boy from the slum near the wheat market on Friday night.
The defendant reached there in the car with the pretext of donating clothing among the residents of the slums fled after taking a baby from his mother.
Kanhaiya told the police that his wife came to know that the couple was in the area to donate wool clothes.
He also got there with a baby on his arm.
As soon as his wife reached near the woman accused, she pushed her and seized her baby.
His wife lifted an alarm, but the defendant escaped with a baby in the car.
After that, his wife called him and told the incident.
After this, the police were called, said Kanhaiya.
A police officer said that fired in this case was being asked and warnings had been heard in the city.
Furthermore, the police scan CCTV installed near the place, he added.
