Ludhiana: On another jolt to Congress in Ludhiana, former MLA from Qila Raipur and prominent businessman Jassi Khangura resigned from the party on Sunday.
In his resignation letter aimed at the Congress of President Sonia Gandhi, Khangura did not state the reason for his decision.
He posted the letter on Twitter and said, “Our decision to take our fate.
Resignation of Inc., the only Indian political party I have ever become a member.” In accordance with Khangura’s letter, his father, who was associated with a 60-year congress, has also resigned.
Khangura wants a ticket from the Sahnewal or Amargarh constituency but when the Congress party has reduced other candidates from both seats, Khangura resigned, said the source.
According to sources, more problems for Congress trigger today and more resignation is expected from leading Ludhiana leaders.
This is because the party will announce a list of candidates from the South Ludhiana constituency to be completed today.
