Ludhiana: The Punjab government has announced the cash prize of RS 1 Crore for all hockey players from the country which is part of the team of the bronze medal winning men at the Tokyo Olympics, Chair of the Punjab Youth Development Board (PYDB) Sukhwinder Singh Bindra.
Led by Bindra and Olympian Hardeep Singh Grewal, Ludhiana people celebrate the success of the team by cutting special cakes in the Sarabha Nagar market.
Praising the Indian Hockey team, Bindra said that Pydb would give a speech to the heroes to members of the Hockey team once they reached the country.
He said that the players would also be respected with award certificate.
