CHANDIGARH: Punjab has cancelled Class XII Exams in the Mild Covid-19 pandemic, Educated Nation Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Saturday.
The decision was taken after getting a nod by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.
Congratulations!You have cast your voteLogin to see resultIn a formal announcement to the press, the Cabinet Minister stated that Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will declare that the results according to the routine of this CBSE.
“It was the need of hour to produce a determination on assessments as parents and students also were concerned about their admissions at the greater study classes,” explained Singla.
While demonstrating more information, the State Education Minister stated that as many as 3,08,000 pupils were registered at Class XII at government, private and aided universities below the PSEB from the 2020-21 academic semester.
“It wasn’t feasible for the instruction board to run the assessments because of the challenges posed from the coronavirus.
According to the adopted formulation, the PSEB will ready the outcome based on some 30:30:40 formulation depending on the pupil’s performance in courses 10, 11 and 12, respectively,” he further added.
Singla stated that the PSEB will be nearing the outcome based on a typical 30 percent concept component of three performing jobs from the major five topics in category 10th and 30 percent weightage on the basis of marks obtained from the pupils in pre plank, technical evaluation in courses 11th and 40 percent weightage on the foundation marks acquired in pre-board evaluation, practical examination and internal evaluation in Class XII.
“In the event of the pupils who have shifted stream after course 11th, the consequence of these students are ready according to weightage on the grounds of the marks obtained from category 10th and weightage on the grounds of their PreBoard + Practical Examination + Internal evaluation obtained in Class XII,” the ministry added.
The facts about implementation of these parameters determined would be made public around the PSEB Website, login identification of colleges too.
He added the college heads will be liable for publishing the marks of courses 10th, 11th and 12th at the portal site and the outcome is expected to be announced on or before July 31.11″The pupils, who wouldn’t be happy with the outcome according to the above formulation, the assessment for these will be conducted while the situation gets conducive,” he said.
