Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party said that the authorities in Ludhiana forced sanitation workers to clear the gutter line without giving them safety equipment.
In a joint press statement, AP spokesman Ahbab Singh Grewal and the Secretary of Joint State Party Amandeep Singh Mohi said that the state government had failed to provide sophisticated cleaning equipment to Ludhiana Municipal Corporation.
“Many sanitation workers have lost their lives until now due to lack of safety equipment,” they said.
Amandeep Singh Mohi said that the Punjab government must immediately ask for Ludhiana Civic Body to get equipment.
