Bathinda: Ahead of the 50th anniversary of Vijay Difas when India has defeated Pakistan in the 1971 war, the Governor of Punjab Banwari Lal Purohit visited the soldiers in the front position of the border security forces in the Fazilka border district in Punjab and praised their commitment and strength in protecting the country’s border.
Overcoming Jawan, the Governor said that people in the country live in peace because of “brave jawan on duty, day and night on the border”.
It is an honor to have privileges to serve defense forces and lucky soldiers have the opportunity to serve this country.
Banwari Lal Purohit further said that the ability and strength of the soldiers ensure peace and security for the country.
Previously, Deputy Commissioner of Babita Kaler, SSP Harmanbir Singh Gill and ADG from BSF NS Jamwal, IG BSF Sonali Misra, and Commander of BSF Junglon Singh welcomed the governor.
The governor also visited the national martyr warning near the international border in Hussaiwala in Ferozepur and tribute regencies to pay to Freedom Fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
