Punjab health agreement thinks the booster dose

Chandigarh: Health workers in Punjab, especially those inoculated in the initial phase, have begun to approach the government to offer a booster dose of the vaccine.
Health Officers – Doctors, nurses, and support staff – Awer was the first to vaccinate when the drive began in January and a large number of them received both doses on the settlement of the 28-day deadline which was originally by the central government.
Many studies conducted to examine the duration of what vaccine immunity induced documents a decrease in stable antibody level among vaccinated individuals.
According to experts, the level of antibodies shoot after vaccination and then start tapering after 6 to 7 months.
The deployment of the Delta variant (B.1.6172) is very contagious, which is considered the main reason for breakthrough infections, has left health workers in this country.
In accordance with the SARS-COV-2 Genomic Consortion Data (Insacog), 2,363 samples have been tested positively for various variants that are a concern.
Of the total, 1,014 samples were Delta variants that accounted for around 43% of the total variants of concerns detected in the state.
The Association of the Punjab Civil Medical Services (PCMSA) President Dr.
Gagandeep Singh said they had many questions about the dose of booster from doctors who worked in the private sector and the government.
“Health workers continue to ask about booster doses, especially those who get the first dose in January,” said Dr.
Gagandeep, who himself received a second kick in February.
Dr.
Navjot Singh Dahiya, National Vice President of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and former President Punjab Chapter Association said that their members, especially those who have low antibodies, have begun to discuss it and many are interested in taking additional shots.
He further said that this problem will be taken at the next body meeting.
Even when demand for booster shots increased, the central government has recently clarified that not even thinking of booster shots when giving two doses to adult populations is a top priority.
Punjab Covid-19 Nodal Officer Dr.
Rajesh Bhaskar confirmed that the department had begun to receive requests from health workers for the third dose of the private sector and the government.
However, he said nothing would be given additional doses until the central government appeared with a policy.
Breakthrough infections in Punjab, around 70 cases of breakthrough infections – patients who contracted the Covid virus after vaccinated – has been detected.
No death between such patients has been reported in a state so far.
The vaccine does not provide full protection but reduces the severity of infection and the possibility of death.
What is a Booster Shot, a booster dose is given to individuals who are fully vaccinated when immunity drops below the specified limit.
According to a statement released by the World Health Organization (WHO) on October 4, the purpose of the booster dose is to restore the vaccine “the effectiveness of being considered insufficient”.
