Ludhiana: The problem of illegal colonies, scarcity of water, and poor road work dominated the General Corporation Corporation meeting in Teacher Nanak Bhawan on Wednesday.
When the council members demanded immediate action, the Mayor of Balkar Sandhu and Commissioner MC Pardeeep Sabharwal directed officials to remove the earliest illegal colonies.
BJP Sonia Sharma Council said, “I have raised the problem of illegal colonies in the ward for the past two years.
I first submitted a complaint on September 19, 2019, but until now there was no action taken.
The water supply in the ward is affected as a burden on the facilities increase .

Commissioner MC said, “illegal construction work or unlawful colonies will not be tolerated and strict actions against LAX officers will be taken.
I have asked officials to ensure a water supply where there is a scarcity.
However, the connection of illegal water supply in the colony will be cut off as soon as possible maybe.
