Chandigarh: Punjab registered 7,986 positive Covid cases on Thursday and 31 patients lost their lives because of the virus during the day.
The total number of Covid positive cases has now reached 6,92,526 while 16,882 patients have died until now due to viruses throughout the state.
Punjab has 47,400 Covid active cases on Thursday and the level of participants reaches 18.75%.
As many as 3,00,990 people were vaccinated during the day, where 1,20,668 got the first dose.
The State Health Department conducted 42,583 Covid tests and 5,932 covid patients were dismissed from hospital after their recovery.
