Punjab: Mandatory weekly off day imposes more industry

PATIALA: PUNJAB STATE POWER CORPORATION LTD (PSPCL) has decided to increase mandatory weekly days applied to the industry in the Central, North and Western zones as well.
Restrictions will be charged in the South Zone and border industries will also be applied from next week.
A meeting was held here on Friday under the leadership of PSPCL CMD A Venu Prasad and Distribution Director of DPS Grewal, Director of the Generation of Parmjeet Singh and Pstcl Technical Director Yogesh Tandon participated.
The situation arising from unprecedented high-power demand because the prolonged dry mantra even in the first week of July was discussed in detail.
Prasad said various steps of regulations imposed on industrial consumers have enabled PSPCL to increase the power supply to the agricultural sector and reduction in power outages in the domestic sector.
However, with each day passed (without rain) the request exceeded the assistance obtained by the steps of this regulation.
PSPCL has taken problems with the North Regional Shipping Center in Delhi for increased transmission capacity that allows more power imports from outside the country immediately.
It was also decided to beg general and commercial consumers such as shopping centers, for wise electricity use.
All heads of engineers and SES from the distribution zone discuss the distribution settings and cleanse the suffering of supply complaints.
Officers claim the availability of power and the supply situation is quite normal without the need to impose power cuts.
CMD highlights that maximum complaints are waiting in the Zirakpur area, Mohali and Aggarnagar (Ludhiana).
He appealed to the clerk to ensure that all offices under the control they guard their ACS turned off.
He convinced enough consumers of power flow during the rice / summer season.
Prasad said the situation could increase when the rain was expected this week.
