Chandigarh: Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday disqualified legislators JUITE BALDEV Singh from home membership under the anti-defection law.
A petition that looked for disqualification was submitted after he left the AAM AAM AADMI Party (AAP) in 2019.
Baldev Singh, along with several AAP MLA, had changed the rebels against the party’s leadership after Sukhpal Singh Khaira was issued from the position of opposition leader in July 2018.

But Baldev Singh returned to AAP in October 2019.
Singh has been disqualified from the membership of the Punjab legislature with the effects of October 26 according to the provisions of the Tenth Schedule of the Indian Constitution, according to a statement from Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
With Singh Disqualified, the overall strength of the AAM AADMI party at the 117 member house has dropped to 17.
AAP has won 20 seats in the 2017 assembly poll.
