Ludhiana: One person died while the other six were injured in a bomb blast on the second floor of the court complex in Ludhiana on Thursday afternoon.
Whereas the deceased identity is unknown, which is injured has been identified as a 35-year-old Kaurpur Gurpreet, Sandeep Kaur (31) from Raikot Village, Sharajit Kaur from Jamalpur Ludhiana, 32-year-old Manish Kumar from Police Colony in Jamalpur, advocate 50 years Kuldeep Singh Road and Krishhan Khanna (75) from the One Dugri phase.
While Sandeep and Sharanjit Kaur were treated in a civil hospital, Manish was accepted at CMC, Kuldeep Singh and Krishhan Khanna at DMC.
Police Commissioner Ludhiana Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the incident occurred in the public toilet on the second floor of the court complex.
He added that after hearing that there was an explosion, senior officers rushed to the place and the reason was not known immediately because it was difficult to achieve conclusions.
Senior police officers said they were trying to identify the suspect’s body found in place.
He added that it seemed he had explosives or he was close or brought it but it was a preliminary finding and could not be confirmed.
The police commissioner said that the area had been cleaned and the anti-sabotage team was looking for all the complex disposal teams and bombs had also reached the place.
He added that the NSG team had also started from Delhi besides detective staff investigating and CCTV was being examined.
The District Bar Association (DBA) said that since advocate was on strike, so that people rushed less.
It added that the explosion occurred in the number one justice complex building.
