KAPURTHALA: Solving the murder of a 23-year-old young man from Begowal, Police Kapurthala had arrested a murder accused after a long pursuit of 1900 km for 20 days in six countries.
The CPIRThala SSP HPS Khakh has said that the Daljit Singh Shera defendant, a resident of Kartarpur, Jalandhar, has been arrested from Cyberabad in Telangana.
Revealing more information about the murder case, SSP said that at the end of the night of June 18, which was accused of with several colleagues shot dead 23 years old when the last returned home from the playground.
He said that the defendant suspected involvement of bombing in the murder of their gang members.
While the police had registered a case against four accused based on the statement given by the victim’s father, Shera was even responsible for the murder and also wrote posts on his Facebook and threatened several others with consequences.
The SSP told me that the police team technically pursued the defendant since the day of the murder but Shera constantly changed her hiding place in various countries such as Haryana, UP, Bihar, Maharashtra and Odisha and finally tracked in Telangana.
The car he cloaked from a priest from a sign then recovered from Maharashtra when the defendant had left it there after the vehicle developed.
He said that on June 29, the police team was on his way to attack his hiding in Telangana and while it was informed that Shera tried to reach the cellphone from several girls after showing weapons and threatening to shoot them.
The girls were afraid and twisted number 100 after running towards the main road after police Gachibowli reached the place.
The SSP told that the police team arrested him there and took him back to Punjab on Friday.
The SSP said that the weapons used in Murder Mapping were also confiscated by Telangana police in the case.
He said that the police were also looking for three other defendants.
