JAGRAON(LUDHIANA): Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Dinkar Gupta directed the full Punjab Police force in lovingly recalling the ultimate sacrifice made by authorities martyr helper sub-inspector (ASI) Bhagwan Singh on his Bhog Ceremony held in Dashmesh Gurdwara in his native village Kothe Ath Chak at Jagraon on Sunday. ASI Bhagwan Singh, who also joined the Police force as constable from 1990 and has been now posted in Crime Research Unit (CIA) Wing of Ludhiana Rural Police dropped his life when pursuing and facing with offenders in Jagraon on May 15, 2021. He’s survived by his spouse along with 15-year-old son. DGP Dinkar Gupta, who attended the service through video conferencing because of Covid-19 limitations, directed the officers, for example CP/SSPs in paying rich tributes to ASI Bhagwan Singh who gave his life up combating drug and criminal smugglers. “We all, who will be the household of 82,000 powerful police force of Punjab, will probably remain proud of this ultimate sacrifice of their ASI for its security and safety of their citizens of this boundary country of Punjab and will not allow his sacrifice go in vain,” he explained. The DGP stated that ASI Bhagwan had invested his whole ceremony fighting against the medications and gangsters, and also in Jagraon too, he fought with all the gangsters. “We can not bring him back but that he will remain alive in our hearts constantly,” explained DGP Dinkar Gupta, although promising the Punjab authorities and authorities would always stand closely with the household of the martyr. He promised the household of ASI Bhagwan Singh could be paid a sum of Rs crore as aid from the HDFC Bank, other advantages, such as a Police project is going to be awarded to his son when he’s of age.
