Punjab: Police submit Challans against Akalis

Jalandhar: The police have submitted Challans against senior leaders of the Akali, including Sad President of Sukhbir Singh Badal, because it blocked traffic in various parts of the country in December 2017.
Sad had blocked the road against the alleged government of the Congress that was accused of being accused during elections.
Former minister, ex and sat Mla was also booked at various police stations throughout the state.
After the police presented Challan, the Judge Sub-Division Court, Zira, ordered on the last October 25 to register it.
While four hearings have occurred, the next date is on January 11.
In addition to Sukhbir, former Minister of Bikram Singh Majithia and several other senior leaders were ordered at the Makhu Police Station.
The case remains in cold storage for some time.
When the RTI activist Parvinder Singh Kitna was looking for information from the police, the usual reply was that this was still investigated.
Then Kitna sent legal notice through Advocates H C Arora to the Punjab government, looking for actions against leaders.
Because there was no action taken, he and two activists – Singh Khaira and Advocates Hakam Singh – Moving the High Court that befell Punjab DGP, SSP Ferozepur and Sho of Makhu Police Station.
HC issued a notification on October 22, 2019.
The next trial in HC on March 17.
