Bathinda: With almost 4,000 cases of combustion of harvest residues reported in Punjab on Saturday, the total number of countries for cases of fire stumps reached 32,734 for the ongoing rice harvest season.
In all, 3,942 cases of burning stumps are recorded on Saturday.
Today in 2019, 4,741 reported from all states.
The figure was 3,858 in 2020.
Until 6 November 2019, the state had recorded 42,794 cases of combustion.
In the same period of time in 2020, a total of 52,980 cases of straw combustion were recorded.
On Saturday, there were 608 cases in Sangrur, 422 in Moga, 398 in Ludhiana, 351 in Barnala, 274 in Ferozepur, 266 in Patiala, 252 in Bathinda, and 202 in Faridkot.
Overall, Tarn Taran has recorded 3,229 this year’s burning incident.
This was attended by 3,047 in Ferozepur, 2,880 in Sangrur, 2,460 in Ludhiana, 2,292 in Patiala, 2,139 in Moga, and 2081 in Barnala.
Pathankot has just recorded four cases so far.
It must be mentioned that very few cases of burning stumps were reported in the state until Diwali, but when experts estimate, it took the right step after the festival.
