Chandigarh: The fourth serological survey conducted by the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) in Punjab has shown seroprevalence of 67.20%.
More than 83 medical professionals and more than 63 of the general population of every 100 have been found exposure to Covid-19.
The presence of antibodies in a large number of people synchronized with the country among the worst devastated countries in this country during the second wave.
In Serosurvey, the participant’s blood sample was collected to determine the spread of the virus in the selected population.
The latest surveys were carried out in four districts – Gurdaspur, Patiala, Jalandhar and Ludhiana – for samples collected in June from a randomly selected population of 1,985, where 1,334 was found to be exposed to Covid-19 and had developed antibodies.
