PATIALA: Authorities have arrested six Men in the case of Retrieval of Approximately 3,000 vials of All Remdesivir and Cefoperazone Located in Bhakra Canal in Salempur along with Balsanda Cities in Punjab’s Ropar district on May 6.
While 621 vials discovered floating in the canal water were of Remdesivir, 1,456 of Cefoperazone, 849 were unlabelled.
In a media release issued Friday, authorities also claimed to have captured Rs two crore money and four automobiles from the ownership of the accused apart regaining packaging and designs material utilized for vials.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Shahwar in Khudda village in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, Arshad Khan in Baghpat from UP, Mohammad Arshad by Saharanpur in UP, Pradeep Saroha by Kurukshetra in Haryana, along with Shah Nazar and Shah Alam — the two taxpayers of Behlopur from Mohali.
Ropar SSP Akhil Chaudhary explained,”After the retrieval of bogus vials of Remdesivir and Cefoperazone, we instantly registered an FIR and shaped a special investigation team (SIT) to explore this situation.
