Bathinda: Bollywood actor brother Sonu Sood Malvika Sood Sachar joined Congress on Monday in front of the Punjab Minister Chararjit Singh Channi and the President of the Navjot Singh Sidhu Congress at the Sood residence in Moga.
However, the sood has not joined the party and announced he would campaign for his sister.
Both Channi and Sidhu, while protecting Malvika at the party, hinting to set it out of the Mosa Assembly constituency.
Sood, as long as the suppressor at his home in Moga on November 14, 2021, has announced that Malvika will join politics and oppose the election of assembly but does not declare which party he will follow.
They took almost two months to decide about the party.
He previously met Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind KeRriwal, Chararjit Singh Channi and Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal, intensified the guessing game.
After joining Congress, Malvika sat beside Sidhu and Channi, said he was impressed with the performance of the party, especially what Channi had done in a short span of time.
I will work hard according to Congress culture and make the party satisfied with the decision to take him at the party.
Before joining Congress, the Sood family has projected Malvika as a moge in Dhee (Princess Moga).
Various hoarding has been placed in Unipoles, bus stops and even in various vehicles.
The family has taken philanthropic acts while distributing e-rickshaws, bicycles and started the Har Hath Kitab campaign (book in each hand) to promote education.
Sidhu reached the residence of the sood and closed with sisters for some time before Channi was reached.
The sood met Sidhu and Channi in the house, but moved away when Malvika officially joined the party and received a party symbol scarf from Sidhu and Channi.
Sidhu said the Congress had “a variety of enriched by getting Malvika Sood” because Sonu Sood had received a name that was not at the national level but also at the international level through its philanthropic action during Covid locking.
The presence of the Sood family will go far in taking congress to height.
Channi said his party was fortunate to get a talented and educated woman in the fold.
At the query about the sitting disturbance of the party MLA Harjot Kamal, Channi said he was not angry but even if there was something we would try to solve him and bring him.
