Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (Sad) Political Advisor Sukhbir Singh Badal Anish Sidana resigned on Friday stating that some prominent sad leaders recently provided anti-Hindu statements to calm Sikh’s hardliners.
A resident of Jalalabad and prominent Hindu face, Sidana has joined the Akali Dal on November 18.
Previously, he was the Chairman of the Congress Intellectual Cell and Member of the Kandi Area Development Board (KADB).
In his resignation letter aimed at the sad president, Sidana said he had explained to Sukhbir that politics for him meant serving punjab people, especially the oppressed and weaker parts of Hinduism, who were in a minority in Punjab.
“But some recent sayings from some of the leading leaders of Akali Dal came out to become anti-Hinduism, position themselves to calm hard lines,” read a resignation letter.
Sidana added that he had withdrew from Congress because of an anti-Hindu explosion from their senior leaders such as Salman Khurshid and Mani Shankar Lyer.
“There may be differences of opinion as individuals, but such contrast ideologies cannot pair together,” he added.
