New Delhi: Former Chairman of the Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday announced the Alliance with BJP for the selection of assemblies in the front of the state.
The former minister’s chairman, who formed a new party named Punjab Lok Congress after being forced to resign as the main minister by Congress, made an official announcement after the meeting with the United States and Punjab BJP Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
“We are ready and we will win this election.
Decisions about sharing seats will be taken by chair-to-seats, with victory to priority.
We are 101% sure to win this election,” Amarinder said after meeting.
The BJP Punjab responsible for Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that sharing seats will be decided on “the right time.” “After 7 rounds of talks, today I confirm that the BJP and the Punjab Lok Congress will fight the election of the Punjab Council who will come together.
Topics such as sharing seats will be discussed later,” said the Union minister.
After parting with Congress, the former Main Minister has explained that he will join hands with BJP for assembly elections if three agricultural laws are drawn by the center.
The center, in a step of surprise, announced his decision to take back agricultural laws on Gurupurab’s day, so it paved the way for the Alliance.
Amarinder was in Loggerhead with Navjot Singh Sidhu for months before finally quit the Congress.
Both leaders traded open charges with each other.
However, the High Comment Congress finally sided with Sidhu and made it a head of the State Congress ignoring very strong opposition by Amarinder Singh.
In the 2017 Punjab Punjab poll, Congress won the absolute majority in the state by pocketing 77 seats and overthrow the BJP government that was sad after 10 years.
Aam Aadmi appeared as the second largest party that won 20 seats in 117 members of the Punjab legislature.
Shiroman Akali Dal (SAD), who has separated from BJP for agricultural law, can only win 15 seats.
BJP can win 3 seats.
