New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will set 65 seats, captain Amarinder Singh Punjab Lok Congress will install candidates in 37 seats while Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa is sad (Sanyukt) will fight the assembly constituency in the upcoming Punjab selection.
This is the first time BJP leads the NDA party coalition in Punjab polls.
In the previous election of the country, BJP has always been a junior partner to Shiromani Akali Dal, who fought separately under the leadership of the Badal family.
Head of BJP JP Nadda announced a chair sharing agreement in Punjab, which he said BJP will compete in 65 seats, PLC in 37, sad (Sanyukt) at 15.
The announcement was carried out at a press conference where Amarinder Singh and the leader of the Alliance were also present.
Significantly, BJP has released a list of 34 of the 65 candidates.
The party has reduced several former leaders of the Akali and Congress along with their own veterans.
The Head of State BJP Ashwani Sharma will also contest from the Pathankot seat.
Likewise, captain Amarinder Singh will contest from his patiaba bastion.
Punjab, who went to the poll on February 20 will watch the contest cornered for the first time.
The powerful Congress faces a rigid challenge from AAP, Akalis, BJP and in front of farmers.
