Punjab: The scheme was announced for ‘lal lakir’

Chandigarh: Chief of Punjab Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday announced a scheme “Mera Ghar Mere Naam” to give ownership rights to people living in homes in “Lal Lakir” and cities.
The whole exercise in this case will be completed within two months, he said.
Channi told the media after a cabinet meeting, that the beginning of this scheme was launched only for villagers, who are now being expanded to city residents who are eligible in “lal lakir”.
He said the income department was mandated to conduct a drone survey of housing properties such as in rural and urban areas for digital mapping.
Furthermore, all citizens who qualify after the right identification and verification will be given a property card (SANAD) to give them ownership rights.
“This scheme was taken before for villages, but it was unsuccessful as expected.
Now we will expand it to urban areas too.
The income department will use drones for this exercise to make maps.
Objection can be submitted in a period of 15 days,” Channi said .
Before this, the beneficiaries will be given 15 days to submit their objections in this regard and if there are no answers received from them and the property card will be issued which will undergo a registry goal that they can bank loans or even sell their property thus increases value monetary.
Furthermore, Channi said people live in homes in the old area (Mohallas) since the long generation after the generation will also be borne in the scheme.
He said that even Nris, who had occupied the properties of such housing in villages and cities would also be informed to submit an objection to give them the right to ownership.
To maintain NRI traits that settled throughout the world, the main minister said the government would immediately bring laws in this name in Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
He also announced that gospels from agricultural land they have will be carried out with their names to prevent illegal property / fraud by immoral elements.
On the problem of releasing the electricity bill arrears up to 2 kW loaded, Channi clarified that anyone regardless of the caste, the credo and religion would benefit from neglect.
He said that from 72 lakh consumers nearly 52 lakh throughout the state will benefit.
He also clarified that only arrears mentioned in the last bill received by consumers would be released.
Responding to the query regarding acute coal deficiency in this country, Channi said he had taken this problem with the Coal Ministry to ensure the supply needed to prevent the future power crisis.
He assured that his government would not allow the country to plunge into the dark despite the scarcity of coal, adding he said no intentional power outages would be charged.
