Punjab with more than 10% of positivity will stop learning directly

Chandigarh: To reduce the spread of Covid among students in Punjab after restarting the actual classes, it has been decided that the school reported that more than 10% weekly participation will not be permitted to carry out direct learning.
The staff will continue to come to school for distance teaching by adopting strict mitigation measures and will be tested every two weeks while staff at high risk severe diseases will work outside the location.
All schools in the state have been reopened from August 2 after a gap for more than four months.
Based on the risk assessment of Covid-19, the Punjab Health Department has come out with strict surveillance and testing protocols, which according to it in the case of weekly peposititivity vary between 6% and 10%, filtering of all students and comprehensive staff will be carried out to reduce infection transmission.
If a positive case confirmed was found, all individuals in the class will be quarantined and tested.
Allegedly a case detected through routine supervision and filtering with fast antigen testing will be confirmed by testing the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
If one case of Covid-19 is confirmed, the school must suspend the class for 14 days and the school must be suspended for 14 days if two or more cases are detected.
If one third of schools in the city or city is closed, all schools in the area will be closed.
In terms of participants between 1% and 5%, routine testing at school will be carried out every week.
If the pool is found positive, all individuals in the pool must remain in quarantine until the source of infection is not identified.
Emphasis has been put on ensuring access to fast antigen testing and RT-PCR testing for each student and staff showing symptoms of Covid-19.
When collecting nasopharyngeal samples from children need skills, school administration must identify local laboratories for student testing and staff.
Student members and staff will be screened by a non-contact thermometer at the entry point and exit and to detect covid cases suspected, school management has been asked to supervise the syndrome for diseases such as influenza.
Every student or staff member allegedly infected will be sent home and tested the virus.
Such people will not be allowed to come to school until negatively tested or resolved symptoms.
Absent students must be contacted by the classroom teacher to ask about symptoms of diseases such as influenza and if the number of students with such diseases that are non-existent or sent home reaching 5% of the total attendance of school on certain days, local health authorities must be warned for alleged outbreaks.
All schools must appoint Nodal officers for compiling school filtering data, including a number of cases suspected of being detected, tested and the number of suspected cases tested positively etc.
Nodal officers must share daily reports with district administration.
The focus has also been given to ensure a fast settlement time that is important to reduce viral transmission with timely detection.
The bitter experience of a large number of students, teaching and non-teaching staff has been infected earlier this year when the government has reopened the school.
At the request of parents who continued, the government has reopened the school for V-XII students from January 7 after a break of more than 10 months, and for the primary class, pre-primary from February, a short time, more than 2,000 students and teachers contracted virus.
