PATIALA: Minister of Punjab for Singh’s Pargrate Higher Education on Monday marked a conscious campaign throughout the special month to promote Punjabi as a maternal language in the state, in Bhasha Bhawan on Punjab Day for Mark Punjab.
This campaign was launched under the campaign ‘Punjabi MAH-2021’ state government.
Pargates also announce that valuable work with the Department of Punjab will be digitized through the latest technology.
The department will be supported by filling in the vacancies of district language officers, research officers and other staff.
Expressing concern for the interests that slumped in language, education, sports, and Minister Nris Pargat said he had examined the details of 1,000 civil service candidates Punjab, which only 100 chose the subject of Punjabi and only 10 who managed to clean it in the exam.
Emphasizing the need to work together and take the initiative to improve Punjabi, he begged Punjabi, intellectual and media writers to promote culture, literature, and characteristics of rich punjabi at the school level.
Pargate said, “Punjabi is our mother tongue and it does not belong to one person; therefore, it is very necessary for everyone to take the initiative to promote it.
I am a team player and will work with intellectuals and writers as a team to maintain a culture of Punjabi.” Krishan Kumar, Secretary of the Ministry of Education and the High Language said the Punjab government has worked carefully to manage the Regional Department Treasury and useful results will be delivered immediately.
Punjabi University Deputy Chancellor Professor Arvind led the event.
During its function, Pargate Singh also presents 9 awards for the best literary book category in 2017.
He launched the Department’s books, including Pram Prakash Singh Nanak and Nirgun Dhara, Jagjivan Mohan Walia’s Baba Ala Singh, Tr Sharma Nanak Katha, TR Sharma, Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha’s Guarant Shabad Aranankar, and the Kulwinder Survey book Singh Bahir Jachh among many others.
