Ludhiana: To ensure breast milk to a newborn at the first time of birth, the administrative district of Ludhiana has formed a bank breast milk pump in the place of a mother and child hospital in a civil hospital, here, so that babies receive important nutrients, antibodies and other factors from ASI is very important for their right growth and development.
District administration says that this is the first bank in Punjab where health workers will pump breast milk and will give it to newborns because most newborns cannot bind milk or mother to face severe pain, swelling, pain or other reasons , because the important breastfeeding in the first time of birth does not occur.
Inaugurating pump banks, deputy additional commissioners (development) Amit Kumar Panchal, Assistant Commissioner (UT) Dr.
Harjinder Singh Bedi and MC MAMTA ASHU member, said that health workers will use the pump to get breast milk as soon as the baby’s birth and will give it to them regularly .
A container has also been installed to preserve breast milk, they say and add as many as two electric pumps, and 10 manual pumps, 16 containers and one steriliser have been given to the bank by administration.
They say that breastfeeding in the first hour and for six months is the most important way to ensure children’s health better because it is the ideal food for babies.
They say it’s safe, clean and contain antibodies that help protect from a lot of illness or childhood disease.
They told that breast milk gave all the energy and nutrients needed by babies and add that in accordance with whom and experts, children who are breastfed perform better on intelligence tests, healthy and less likely to be overweight or obese and less susceptible to disease They are later in their lives.
