Puri Jagannath Temple opened back for all after 4 months

Bhubaneswar: More than 10,000 worshipers packed the Jagannath Temple in Puri, which was reopened for all on Monday, four months after the government closed the 12th century Temple in the second wave of the second Covid rampage.
Process see the doors of the temple open after a long wait, many cannot resist their tears.
“I can’t reveal with the words of how I’ve been waiting at this time.
I can’t even take part in our biggest festival, Rath Yatra, because of the prohibition of public meetings.
Everything happened by Rahmat Lord Jagannath.
I believe his divine pull takes me Go to Puri today, “Pushpanjali Mohanty, a worshiper from Sundargarh, said.
Although administration has appealed to parents and children to avoid visiting temples during a pandemic, many senior citizens and physically challenged people are seen queuing outside the temple.
The worshipers were made to produce their final vaccination certificate or RT-PC negative reports obtained at least 96 hours before their visits were allowed to enter.
“Most worshipers bring their final vaccination certificates.
The number of visitors who carry their RT-PCR negative reports is much less.
Most of them come from various districts in the state, while some come from outside Odisha,” said a senior district official.
“I have been limited to the four walls of my house for months.
I feel blessed with a Darshan Dewa today,” said Madhusudan Swain, a 70-year worshiper from Bhubaneswar, said.
However, different visitors expressed their displeasure due to lack of enough facilities for them.
“Even though the district administration volunteers to help us, they can take us in a wheelchair just to Singha Dwar or the main entrance of the temple.
Wheelchairs cannot be taken in the temple because of the absence of ramps.
We asked the government to ensure smooth access to people Disability in the temple, “said Jitendra Kumar Bal Bal, Actor Cine and Activist Rights of Disability.
But the police supervisor (Puri) Kanwar Vishal Singh said Darshan was done smoothly.
“We have received positive feedback from many worshipers,” Singh was maintained.
Closed since April 24 when the second wave Covid crashed into a house, the temple opened the door in the staggering way to their nearby servants and families on August 12 and 13.
Next, only the residents of the Puri Urban area were permitted in the temple starting in August.
