Bhubaneswar: A Temple of Laxmi, one of the subsidiaries in the Temple of Jagannath in Puri, was booked for Sodomy on Friday.
Police Singhadwar registered a case against Laxminarayan Khuntia, the defendant’s servitor, on charges of sexual striker a 16-year-old boy behind the Laxmi Temple.
The victim is the son of another temple servitor.
“Because I was disabled visually, my little son took me to the temple every day.
He remained in the temple for several hours.
Khuntia often took him to an isolated corner behind the Laxmi Temple and sexually attacked him for several days.
My child told me to trial before me on Thursday night.
I immediately submitted a police complaint, “said the victim’s father.
While Khuntia rubbed the accusation, Singhadwar police called him for a decrition of interrogation.
“We questioned Khuntia.
The case has been registered with it.
The action will be taken according to the law,” said a police officer.
On October 9, Singhadwar police arrested Sangram Dash, Imam from another subsidiary temple at Jagannath Temple, for allegedly persecuting a little girl in the temple the day before.
