Mumbai: Crane tractor, which is ready to push back the Indian aircraft suddenly exploded on Monday morning at Mumbai airport.
The incident occurred at around 10:45 a.m.
when Air India Fly AI-647 was preparing to leave for Jamnagar.
“The crane bar was attached to the A320 aircraft when suddenly burned.
Delay pushback just returned after refueling,” said a source.
Airport fire service rushed to place.
The plane that stood a few feet from a burning vehicle was not damaged, he added added.
Jamnagar flights departed about 20 minutes behind the schedule.
