New Delhi: Pushkar Singh Dhami will be the new minister of Uttarakhand.
MLA from Kasami seats in Udham District Singh Nagar was chosen as the leader of the BJP legislative party at a meeting of the MLAS party in Dehradun on Saturday afternoon.
He replaced Tirath Singh Rawat, who resigned on Friday, after only four months in the office.
In 45 years, Pushkar Singh Dhami will be the youngest to assume the office of the chairman of the minister in Uttarakhand.
“I accept the challenge and will get support from everyone to bring the party ahead,” Dhami said after meeting the MLAS party.
Rawatan, a BJP MP from Garhwal constituency must be elected as the State Assembly through Bypoll to continue as chairman of the minister.
The house currently has two empty seats – Haldwani and Gangotri.
But there is doubt whether the Election Commission will do a bypoll for chairs, as the term assembly of Uttarakhand currently ends in less than a year, in March 2022.
It will make the continuation of care as a ministerial leader who cannot be maintained.
Prayed to be called to Delhi on Wednesday to meet BJP Top Brass.
He returned to Dehradun Wednesday night.
He then met the Governor of the Baby Rani Maurya in Raj Bhavan and handed over his resignation.
