Dehradun: Pushkar Singh Dhami was sworn in as the 11th Ministers of the 11th Uttarakhand in Dehradun on Sunday.
Office oath was given to Dhami by the Baby Governor of Rani Maurya in a simple function held on the Raj Bhawan page with the presence of a number of parliamentarians, MLA and officials of Bharatiya Janata (BJP) and senior government officials.
At the age of 45, Dhami took over as the youngest minister of Uttarakhand.
Mla twice from Khatima in the District of Udham Singh Nagar, Dhami replaced Tirath Singh Rawat, who resigned on Friday.
Dhami was chosen as the leader of the BJP Uttarakhand legislative party on Saturday.
He is considered close to the Governor of Maharashtra and former Main Minister of Uttarakhand Bhagat Singh Koshyari, who is also his political mentor.
Dhami took control of the power when Uttarakhand only had several months to go for assembly polls, which would mature early next year.
