Pvt school on JSR will be reopened soon, some to choose ‘hybrid’ mode

JAMSHEDPUR: Most of the Private 40-Plus English High School without assistance in the steel city will continue the physical class for senior students this weekend.
The majority of schools will only have offline classes, but some also choose a combination of offline and online mode.
“Offline classes will be carried out on alternative days,” B Chandrashekhar, President of the Schools Association of Medium English Schasta, said.
Chandrashekhar, who is also the leading chair of the DBMS chain from educational institutions, said because of the inadequate staff strength, some schools do not prefer physical classes for senior students.
“Government guidelines say that the presence in the physical class is not mandatory.
Therefore it is not obligatory on the parents to send their ward to school,” Chandrashekhar said.
He added that online classes for Sudents to class VII will be carried out as usual.
“The required Covid-19 protocol will be applied on the campuses ahead of the start of the normal class,” he added.
Chandrashekhar said because of the limited capacity of classrooms in several schools, it is not feasible to do the physical class of all parts of class IX-XII at the same time.
“Maximum 25 students can be accommodated in one room with physical distance norms,” he said.
St Mary’s English Principal, Fr P Raj, said the school would hold an online class for students whose parents refused to give them approval to attend the physical class.
Schools such as St Mary’s English school and school J Tarapore, among others, have said that they have no problem if administration uses their school building for vaccination drive because they have adequate infrastructure to hold schools.
A father from class XII students of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya, Telco, said he was not interested in sending his son for a physical class.
“I am not ready to send my child to school until there is a possibility of the third wave,” said G Ojha, a govindpur resident, said.
Likewise, a steel management employee, whose daughter studied the English language school Andhra association here, said he would take longer before deciding whether to send his daughter to school or not.
