Nagpur: Even when the road in several parts of the city is in adverse conditions, the State Public Works Department (PWD) has been concocted / asphalt and widened several roads between districts in Nagpur Regency, Bhandara and Gondia at RS1.103 crore costs in the past two years.
Two main roads in the city are part of the PWD project.
In accordance with the data available from the Superintending PWD Vidyadhar Sardeshmukh Office engineer, more than 95% of the six packages approved under the model of the hybrid (HAM) annuity have been completed in these three districts.
Small jobs include pathpaths, road dividers, signs etc.
It will likely be finished soon.
Under six packages, 378.48 km long road has been widened, concentrated / asphalted – 136.22km in Nagpur, 130.36 km in Bhandara and 111.9 km in Gondia.
PWD appeared with a human rights model for the first time in 2019 to execute a large number of works simultaneously.
Previously, used to execute only work on a limited road every year because of a low budget.
Under Human Rights, Private Contractors received 40% payment after the completion of the project and the remaining 60% in the same installments in 10 years.
The work should be finished in one and a half years.
The contractor must maintain the road for 10 years.
PWD will pay Rs20.71 Crore for the operation and maintenance of these six packages.
North Ambazari Road from Rani Jhansi Square to Vivekananda Memorial and the road from Ambazari T-Point to Nagpur University Campus Square has been expanded anywhere and conveniently needed.
Both of these roads are in sorry.
North Ambazari Road was also damaged especially after the work of the Metro Rail corridor.
Now, small jobs like Road-Dividers etc.
occur between Ambazari T-Point and Campus Square.
There are extensive lakes, tiger reserves, religious places, fountains, etc.
in the district of Bhandara and Gondia.
The road that connects these places has widened and asphalized.
