New Delhi: Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) will for the first time monitoring the real-time round of the area that is “critical prone” to channel water during the rainy season, officials said on Saturday.
The work of installing high-speed internet CCTV cameras is ongoing, and the control room is being arranged on the 12th floor of the PWD headquarters near Ito, they tell.
There are around 25 points “critical vulnerable” to defecate in the city, officials added.
“Taking a signal from the water line last year that had been unprecedented in Minto Bridge, we have now decided that we have to bring all the vulnerable points under the supervision of the time of our round of time round.

Officials added that the installation work of CCTV cameras in around 15 vulnerable locations was complete.
These include the path of the Minto Road Road bridge, Tilak Bridge, Moolchand Underpass, Pul Prahlad Pur in Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, Zakhata Underpass, Azadpur Underpass, Shakti Nagar Underpass, Punjabi Bagh Underpass and Badli underpass.
“Bait directly from CCTV cameras will be sent to the control room at the PWD headquarters where the staff will be deployed in the shift to keep the watch close.” This direct feed will also be shared with field staff and senior officials such as executive engineers, Insterintended Engineers and Chief Engineers on their cellphones for effective implementation, “other officials said.” The instructions needed such as traffic blocking, the deployment of extra field staff, flows out of the water flooded, deployment of extra pump sets and senior inspection officials, among others, will be issued depending on the situation, “he added.
