Lucknow: Anti-Terrorist Force (ATS) Uttar Pradesh Police on Tuesday searched several locations in Kanpur where stopped accused, Minaz Ahmad and Masiruddin, used to live during their Canpur visit.

According to ATS officials, Minaz and Masiruddin are members of Ansar Ghazwatul-Hind, the Al-Qaeda Help Unit, and is planning an explosion in the country around independence day.

Inspector General of Police, ATS, GK Goswamy said: “This is a sensitive case and many things that have not been verified before reaching any conclusions.
We have obtained the cessation of suspects captured and will face them with the evidence we have collected during the investigation.
So far , the captured duo has denied visiting any foreign country or has a passport.
“An officer said so far there was no clear evidence had been found to determine how the suspect who was arrested managed to get weapons and how and in his instructions they made an improvised explosive device (IED) in the form of a pressure stove bomb.
A team of Delhi police special cells landed on Lucknow on Tuesday night and is expected to question the suspects on Wednesday reported about their relationships and partners in their national capital.
