Dubai: The fifth rented flight brought civilians from Afghanistan to Qatar because US troops resigned in August leaving Kabul on Sunday with 235 passengers, mostly Afghanistan citizens, said a senior Qatar official.
Citizens from several other states are also on flights, the official said, without identifying them.
The passengers will take place in a compound in Qatar which accommodates refugees from Afghanistan to leaving for their final destination.
“The Qatar country will continue this work with international partners on efforts that ensure freedom of movement in Afghanistan, while also remains focused on the provision of humanitarian aid to the country,” the official said.
Qatar has emerged to have the main interlocutor between the West and the Taliban.
The Gulf State is the US concluded ally, holding the largest American military base in the Middle East, and has hosted the Taliban political office since 2013.
