American Chipmaker Qualcomm has launched Snapdragon 888 ++ 5G, the most powerful cellphone chipset.
Chip manufacturers make announcements during the Keynote MWC 2021.
The new chipset is an enhanced version of SD 888, with enhanced clock speeds of up to 2,995 GHz right (from 2.48GHz) and AI faster, with an increase of 20% claimed.
His predecessor can carry out 26 trillion operations per second (peak) for the Task AI, but with an increase of 20%, SD 888+ is capable of 32 peaks.
Both are the main improvements that have been made for new chipsets.
Hardware SD 888+ is identical to SD 888.
Both have the same GPU (Adreno 680) and equipped with the Snapdragon elite gaming feature.
The new chipset is also equipped with 5G support with mmwave through the modem-RF Snapdragon X60 system, FastConnect 6900 and Triple ISP camera, just like its predecessor.
The company has announced the Snapdragon 870 chipset at the beginning of the year.
The Snapdragon 870 5G chip claims the clock speed of up to 3.2 GHz and is armed with Kryo 585 CPU.
It features the Snapdragon X55 5G modem-RF System for fast 5G connectivity with peak speeds of up to 7.5 Gbps and the Qualcomm FastConnect 6800.
Plus system, this offers support for MMWAVA, sub-6 GHz, TDD, FDD, and sharing dynamic spectrum (DSS ).
With 5G capabilities and Wi-Fi 6, the chipset also includes Adreno 650 GPU.
This chipset features the 5th AI Gen Machine including the Qualcomm Hexagon 698 processor with the Hexagon Tensor Accelerator, claiming up to 15 tops performance.
Smartphones that will get smartphones and Snapdragon 888 phones + Magic3 Honors from Asus, Motorola, Xiaomi and Vivo will get a new chipset in the second half of this year.
