New Delhi: Qualcomm has confirmed that it will launch a new superior chipset on November 30.
Rumors suggest that the company can change the way the name of its flagship chipset.
Qualcomm has now confirmed that it will switch to a new naming scheme for upcoming cellular chipsets.
Major US chipsets say that it will be used with one-digit series and generation numbers with the latest flagship 8-series Snapdragon 8-Series platform.
So, the company has now hinted that it would not name the upcoming processor as Snapdragon 898.
Recently, Universe Ice Ice Universe and Digital Chost claimed that Qualcomm could name the chipset to come as Snapdragon 8 Gen1.
The Qualcomm 800 series is the company’s mainstay processor.
If this must be trusted in 2022, the company will name the next chipset as a snapdragon 8 gen2 and so on.
The company has not revealed that it will change the name of the lower level chipset too.
Apart from this, a recent rumor also revealed that the upcoming mainstay processor from Qualcomm will be able to offer 150W fast charging support.
According to a report by Digital Chat Station, a smartphone that will package the upcoming Qualcomm processor will be able to offer 150W fast charging support.
The report also added that the chip with 150W charging support will arrive later because the first batch chip is not ready to support the tariff.
This report also claims that Qualcomm will offer support for speeds of up to 150W in the second batch chip that will begin to be sent at the end of 2021.
So, the device powered by this chip will be launched in the first quarter of 2022.
The speed of charging will allow a smartphone to get full juice only in 10 minutes.
